kammer is pleased to present the work of Edward Dean, Bernhard Hegglin, Max Milà Serra and Julian Tromp.

In the exhibition, industrially manufactured materials appear in weakened form. Through weaving, stacking, stretching, cutting and modelling, the works suspend form and use. Structures that ordinarily stabilise objects instead appear provisional, contingent, or slightly exhausted.

Carpet is layered into furniture without fastening. Books are cut apart and rewoven into support structures. Fabric surfaces remain loosely tensioned, responding subtly to air movement in the room. Digitally modelled forms become thin enough to resemble paper.

Across the exhibition, techniques associated with permanence no longer fully secure form. Works sit between construction and disintegration.

Edward Dean (b. 1996, Wodonga) is a visual artist currently based in Zürich.
Bernhard Hegglin (b. 1989, Zürich) is a visual artist living and working in Zürich.
Max Milà Serra (b. 1994, Barcelona) is an industrial designer based in Barcelona.
